I think its time to pull out my 300 wby mag. Wing span 6ft ,10ft it does not matter.
“Sheriff Todd Combs of Yuma County, Colo., said in a Facebook post Tuesday that the drones appeared to be staying at least 150 feet from buildings or people, based on the footage he has seen.”
“Theyre high enough where you couldnt shoot one anyway, but theyre low enough that theyre a nuisance, said Dawn George...”
150 feet? Guffaw...
Drone hunting season might eventually become a thing.

We control drones in Afghanistan from 7 or 8,000 miles away
Maybe some new Christmas presents.
If you want to find out who they belong to, shoot a couple down and wait a visit to recover the remains.
As fun as shooting one of these might be, I wonder if there’s any sort of disabling load that might be used. Like a net that might fit in a shot shell.
Be interesting to capture one intact.
I’ve also always wondered if a simple spark gap generator would produce enough electrical interference to block the controller radio signals, although I think most of them “return to base” via gps if they lose contact.
Why are the federal law enforcement agencies less involved in this matter than they are when Chinese or Middle-Eastern looking individuals photograph dams, electrical installations, and other sites?
No accident that the runways form a swastika.
“Maybe some new Christmas presents.”
Very expensive ones - they said there can be 30 of them & some have a wingspan of 6 ft. Musk could afford it. Or a large company or gov’t agency.
and what if they’re flying at 10,000ft or more?
These drones are flying @ night—both below & above 400 feet—which goes against FAA regulations. (Must be flown below 400 feet; and during day). So, if they’re already disregarding FAA regulations, they’re not going to overtly claim remains.
Why not and what does the sheriff know that he made that statement?
The articles in the Colorado media are warning it is illegal to shoot them down. One lingers over my house illegal doesnt matter. Its target practice time. This drone stuff is getting out of hand. I had a friend who had a drone come to the drivers window of her car and follow her for some distance before disappearing ....
It sure looks like it. Airport planning is a science in itself. Air traffic flow, runways that can be operated for departures and arrivals simultaneously, and of course - the wind and its effect on all of this.
The is Hethrow, one of the busiest in the world.
Denver's runways do look like a swastika though.
Just a suggestion, mind you.
I’ve seen others with more clays than that. Note - they are hand thrown and moving relatively slow.
Probably oil and gas exploration. I would just about guarantee if you shot one down you’d find out who owns it pretty fast.....
I don’t think they know anything (Governor Polismoker is now getting involved), but usually the drone shooter gets in trouble, not the drone operator.
