There’s no reason to maintain a diplomatic presence in a country whose government is either unwilling or unable to keep hordes of mutants from storming our embassy.
In most countries, the host is not responsible for security at our embassy.
The legislation voted on by the Iraqi parliament and what may come of it in terms of actions by the Iraqi government hold an opportunity for that government to demonstrate its hypocritical politics.
The legislation actually calls for the removal of ALL foreign forces from Iraq. The diplomatic world, and particularly the Middle East diplomats will have something to say when and if the only “foreign forces” the Iraqi governments seeks to expel are Americans, and not any members of Iran’s Quds Force, including their Iranian members & their foreign fighters from Lebanon, Syria, Palestine & Afghanistan - all of which Iran has brought into Iraq, and all part of Iran’s militias in Iraq.
