Why do so many in the U.S. care about these people we fought a war to free ourselves from? If they don’t like the U.K. they should go back to Germany, where they came from.
I think the fact that William and Harry grew up in the news engendered a great deal of sympathy for them, who were still children when their mother was tragically killed. Unfortunately, Harry has not been able to get past it; and he appears not too bright, either. William has chosen more wisely.
As for the "go back to Germany" thing, Queen Elizabeth's great-randmother Victoria married a German, but was herself mixed with British blood, as were her heirs. Elizabeth's mother was pure Scottish, Diana's roots go far back into British Isles history, and Prince Philip is only partially German, as well. So William, the heir, is only a tiny percentage German blood. The family made a very public break from the German royal houses over 100 years ago, and forced out Elizabeth's uncle Edward because of his Nazi sympathies (with the cover story that he was renouncing the throne to be with his American divorcée Wallis Simpson). Most Americans reject race-based arguments that one is guilty for the sins of the forefathers.
Why do I care?
Because Markle recently snuck Hillary into Frogmore Cottage w/o telling anyone, purportedly so HI’ll art could see Archie.
Do you believe that story?
