Yes, I would happily volunteer to go live with Maya if she needs extra protection. :-)
Lucky cat (((Ping)))
There are frequently Great Horned Owls in the firs across the street. They haven’t been a problem with the cats. They raised hell with the Silver Pheasant I was raising. Picked the babies off at night.
I haven’t had the opportunity to try them on critters. I’ve always relied upon CB Longs. Raccoons, hit center mass, are good enough to go somewhere else to die.
You sure that was a coyote?
Will those rounds penetrate blue helmets?
Doubtful. Aim a little lower. Frangible hollow points.
Yes, I saw them firsthand, and they weren’t strays, they were coyotes. They’re known to roam this area from time to time, then move on. They also killed one of my wife’s cats about four years ago. They used to sit in the forest about a mile or so from here and howl a chorus at the 11 PM train whistle, but I haven’t heard them lately. One of the county’s Boss Hogg types lives on a big parcel out that way, and I think more than a few have gotten picked off by his sons taking shots at them. I still occasionally hear multiple calibers of weapons fire just after sundown.
