OK, I was wrong about the source of the vid. Got it.

But a weaponized security camera? LOTS of folks either want them or have already devised them. Ain’t rocket science.

Light weight predators like to keep prey down sized because they don’t want to get hurt. The more of them (pack) the bolder. The hungrier the (bolder). If a lot of pain is involved, like clawed up eyes? It get dicier. Plus cats are just full of sharp edges. Cats ain’t easy prey. I have great horned owls around and my cats. Owls haven’t been a problem. Miss the kill shot, cat got bird stew.

I should have added that they don’t wander around until they get around 4 to 5 pounds. Then they pretty much do what they want.

“Tell the cops the coyotes identified themselves as dogs.”

...and I feared for my life.

Snowflakes do not own firearms or know how to use them.

They would likely be Goorgling for an answer while the kitty was being devoured.

I suspect crossbows are restricted items in that benighted state.

They should move the coyotes to LA to get rid of the rats. Then the homeless would have a dog. The fur isn’t worth dragging it in to the truck and they prey on the Hun’s around my place. So I shoot them when I can. Plus if you put one down and want to handle it wait till the body cools and let the fleas crawl off. Coyotes not the homeless, although it might work either way.

You can have gonads, if you can qualify to carry concealed. A tranny tests you, then you’re good to go. Be advised, if a LEO officer asks if you’re carrying, you have to show them. No matter what the weather is or who’s with you. You also have to demonstrate the ability to use them safely.

Not in my state. Where in our Bill of Rights does it say one has to ‘qualify’ to carry concealed?

True especially your gonads. I don’t leave home without them. Four things are essential, gonads, guns, American Express, and the good lord. Last I looked all Constitutional. AMEX is optional but I’m used to the weight.

I shot a coyote out here back in November.
At the time of the shot (abt 100 yards or so), I could see in the scope that it had something in its mouth but couldn’t quite make out what it was. Didn’t matter...I dropped the mangy SOB anyway. When I finally walked up to it, I discovered that it was a dead cat that it had in its mouth. We don’t have very many neighbors around here, but I called all the ones close by, and they all said they didn’t have any cats so I have no idea where this ‘yote took it from. Probably a stray since we do occasionally get city folk coming out here dumping their unwanted pets to get rid of em....could have been one of those, I guess.

I’m guessing Max wasn’t neutered and as such, insists on being outside to look for female cats that weren’t neutered as well or feral females all of which is uncaring and most of all, dangerous for the cat, not the least of which, a tasty tidbit for coyotes!

Any vet will warn against roaming cats as they catch feline leukemia, wind up fighting over territory, kill birds and dirty children’s sand boxes.

It has been my experience, however, male owners of male cats who refuse to have them neutered, do so out of so-called compassion.

Such phony “compassion” wouldn’t hold true they also owned an unneutered (sp) female. Females can go into heat many times during a year, especially if she doesn’t get a litter of kittens, to keep her occupied elsewhere.

Except for outside the city farm cats that keep down rodents, why in the world do cat owners let their cats outside?? Is it so they don’t have to clean a litter box? I would NEVER let my cat outside. But, then, our cat has been spayed, like any responsible cat owner would. She sits and watches out the window and neighborhood cats come and sit outside while they read each other’s minds, I guess. Maybe they’re related. Our cat was a stray kitten we adopted. Anyway, people who let their cats run free are stupid.
And why is it legal to let cats roam free in the city?

You can get your cat immunized for Feline Leukemia, mine are...and for rabies, etc. I’ve got barn cats, all neutered, all get flea meds, and they are all in excellent health- though one had a bad limp for a while from being surprised and tackled by a younger cat that was horsing around. Took the old girl to the vet and nothing was broken, she apparently pulled a muscle in her hind leg. It took a while to heal, so she got to stay in as long as she could stand it, which was about 2 weeks, then she darted back outside. Just a matter of keeping them up to date.

Agreed.

Still, even after 12 years it saddens me to see my little buddy string out the window longingly.

He was my best friend during 5 years of recovery from head injury.

Mom and girlfriend got him for me while I was in ICU.

Never gave cats a second thought for 39 years before that.

I’m not one of those people that thinks it’s a child but I don’t hold it against this people.

Happiness is hard to come by in this world and if it’s harmless and legal and not immoral, people should get it any way they can.
