I was also reminded of interviews I’ve seen with women Peace Corps volunteers and missionaries: they say that men in Africa and Asia think all Western women are prostitutes because of American-produced porn videos. In the same way, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are selling an image of Latin American women as sluts, and CardiB and Beyonce sell African American women in the same way.
