Why Trump Primary Turnout is high - Vanity
VANITY | 2/12/20 | Me

Trump Primary numbers in Iowa and New Hampshire for un-opposed primaries are "record breaking." So who are all these voters going to participate and cast a pointless vote?

I am thinking many of these voters might be "new" Trump supporters and former democrat voters. This primary voting has been advertised and pushed on democrat voters. I don't know if there is anyway to test this, but it might be an alternate explanation. It seems to be a good indicator of what is to come in November, one way or another.

KEYWORDS: election; primary; trump
Just a thought. Am I delusional? The media would not cover this angle if found to be true.

Sort of along these lines, there seemed to be an effort to renew “Operation Chaos” and have a lot of Republicans register as Democrats and vote for Yang. But now Yang is out so we can’t do that.

I see good reason for people to make the effort to get out and vote for the person they really want — Trump. We should create a wave of people (new Republicans and old Republicans) and make it clear that while the Democrats are in disarray, President Trump has an ocean of support.

I think it will be hard for the Democrats to cheat enough to win. Especially if it’s clear to everyone that Trump has massive support.

Also take note: Trump is not doing defense, he is GOING ON THE OFFENSE !!

He is taking his rallies to ENEMY territory — states he did not win in 2016.

Take New Jersey for instance !! His rally in Wildwood actually rented an arena and it was PACKED.

158,632 Requested Tickets (92,841 distinct signups) and 73,482 Voters Identified. Over 25% attendees were Democrats and over 10% were people who did not vote in 2016.

He’s going to Amy Klobacher’s territory too - - Minnesota.

Feb 10 REPUBLICAN NH PRIMARY: With approximately 70% of precincts reporting, Pres Trump
surpassed the NH Primary vote total of every incumbent Pres running for re-election the last four decades.

Brad Parscale - Text TRUMP to 88022---NH is on Trump’s WIN Map.
New Hampshire. Data Gold! Here’s the Big Data from New Hampshire:
52,559 Tickets
24,732 Voters Identified (41% From NH)
17% Didn’t Vote in 2016
25.4% Democrats

President Trump held a huge campaign rally at a jam-packed 12,000 seat SNHU arena
in Manchester, on the eve of Democrats' first in the nation presidential primary.

Trump supporters started lining up in the cold and rain two days in advance......
several thousand remained outside to watch on a Jumbotron after the venue hit full capacity.

OUTSIDE 35 degrees

Amazingly, an overflow crowd of hundreds apart from the overflow crowd of thousands outside
the arena gathered to view and hear the Trump rally across the street at a distance from the Jumbotron.

Another interesting angle and reason to go vote. Most of these primaries have “other” votes to be cast for local elections and referendums on ballots. Sometimes they are votes to include referendums on future ballots.

Your approach to get more Trump supporters to the primary polls might have some other positive local political ramifications as it pertains to smaller local and regional political battles and issues.

These rally cities should start charging reasonable ticket prices for watch parties.

I think Trump voters are sending a message to the MSM, that keeps telling us that Trump is going to lose to any Democrat candidate.

I was going to suggest checking out Brad Parscale’s numbers (Campaign Mgr for 2020), but I see post #4 has it covered. It seems to me, from recent rallies, Dems attending are running around 25% & people who did not vote in the last election are around 10%. Evidently, the “atmosphere” at the rallies, the patriotism, enthusiasm & fantastic experience, are really something to experience - anyone (Dem/Indy) on the fence attending is likely to come away thinking that Trump deserves their support/vote.

Here is Brad’s twitter feed - you can check out the numbers he’s posting: https://twitter.com/parscale

If you’re not on twitter, it’s public so you can still see it.

But now Yang is out so we can’t do that.

Yang was the wrong option. "Operation Chaos" only works if there is a credible challenger who can stick around longer with a few more votes. Alternatively, a challenger who is a sure loser in the general election. Bernie Sanders fits the alternative mode. He'll be in to the end, but he won't do well in the south or in much of the independence minded west.

2016 IMO .... New Hampshire wasn't really sure about Trump because of an oblique kind'a "Clinton" view.

x42 was a pretty boy Kennedy type and a smooth talker.

A lot of people were suspicious but decided to give him a chance .... twice.

Then came Bush and obama and I think New Hampshure were just a little skitterish about a successful guy that came out smellin' like a rose "too much" and slept with a super model after two others.

Something didn't fit, but no one could tag it.

Three years later, President Trump has, with NO chastisement of nor to the American people, proven himself and people are WAAYYY more comfortable with him now.

The Trump strategy is to contest the Democrats everywhere, denying their opportunity to seize the microphone and prevent the media from presenting a false impression of national support for the Democrats. This strategy is also intended to bring in new voters and Democrat voters who are ready to abandon the new Democrat Party.

I don’t think Democrats could vote for a Republican in the NH primary, but non-party affiliated voters could - so it must have been a strong showing of Independents for Trump.

I saw an interview with a guy waiting outside in line for the recent New Jersey rally. The reporter asked him why he was there since he had zero chance of getting in to see the president. He answered, “I want to send a message.”

This makes me even more curious. I shouldn't be surprised that the media is not more curious about the large turnout for the incumbent.

Does Brad Parscale base his numbers on the ticket requests or on the people that actually showed up?

I remember filling out a survey when I requested the tickets, but did not fill anything out at the rally.

I ask because I had many “friends” on FB that were requesting tickets with no intent to go. They were D’s just trying to keep the stands empty.

That may explain the high D’s in his surveys. Just sayin’...
