Would WWII fuel work in a modern jet?

In WWII we had gasoline which was superior to what is available now.

I think jet fuel is almost like kerosene, probably no problem to make back then.

No, I think it’s different enough that you’d have to get the 1940’s Navy to somehow synthesize some with the modern formula once you were in danger of running out.
