The only problem with micro breweries is the high cost and the crappy tasting beers you need to waste money on before you find the one you like. Then, you can’t just pick up a 6 pack at the store.

Sorry, but I find any list with only 1 beer from Germany to be suspect. I mean, just 1 out of over 6000 breweries in Germany?

My favorite is Konigsbacher, which regrettably is not exported to the US. So, I settle for other brews, usually Shiner Bock.

The Konigsbacher brewery in Koblenz has a fine restaurant on the property, and the serve bock beer year round. It's been nearly 40 years since I returned to the US, but I fondly remember my many visits for Sunday lunch (once a month). A meal of jagerschnitzel and a couple of liters of bock beer was awesome, and there was a great view of the Rhine River from the restaurant.

Alaskan Amber is pretty good. Brewed in Juneau.
