I don’t buy the “racially more susceptible” arguments.
Look at all the Caucasian Americans who got it on the cruise ships. Or what is going on in Iran and Italy.
It’s an Equal Opportunity infection is my guess.
It seems to spread faster among Asians and perhaps be more lethal, but since real statistics from China are so hard to get, who knows?
The death rate doesnt seem that high, and those who die are usually quite elderly or have prior respiratory problems, groups that are traditionally very baldy impacted by any flu.
I think we need to calm down. Its very communicable but its not a death sentence, especially in the developed world (of which China is not a part in its treatment of its citizens).
I don’t think it’s racial either. The Chinese have polluted air and ... they smoke.
