Except for the 29 year old nurse, 29 year old doctor, 34 year old doctor and 42 year old director of a hospital to name a few who died this past 2 weeks. And we only know those because they were high profile.
There will always be some younger people who die of the flu, even the plain old regular annual flu, of whatever type. Sometimes they have pre-existing conditions. They’re smokers, asthmatics, or even simply have had pneumonia in the past from some other cause (which scars the lungs and makes them more vulnerable to getting infections again). Or sometimes not. But people are not dropping like flies and we’ve got to get a grip on the hysteria.
