Just got back from Kroger in WLR, AR. Everything is picked over but there are goods all over teh back. I went back and looked on the ramp, and all 3 loading docks are full and being unloaded. In addition, 3 trucks are running idle waiting for loading dock to make space.

The problem LOOKS like the items are empty, but they are in the store BUT NOT STOCKED. Whole damn pallet of TP in the back but the shelves empty. This was 8 AM. Wife went at noon and got what I couldnt get at 8 AM. Gonna be like this for a while methinks.

Same thing happened at our local market. Asked a manager and they’re running short of help because folks are staying home with the cold/flu/whatever, so it’s taking longer to stock and re-stock. Maybe that’s what other places, like yours, are running into?

Went to a Walstore today in North central AR. STORE was just a little crowded, but not too bad. Some people appeared to be stocking up while others had very few items im their cart.
Shelves were hit and miss. No tp, no flour, little sugar or pasta / sauce. Np Oreo cookies either, but still lots of pop-tarts.

Clerk said last three days have been very busy.

I just got back from trader Joes Los Angeles. EVERY SINGLE REGISTER had a a line of people waiting going all the way to the opposite side of the building. every line was was open. things were sold out.

I was at local grocery store...Vons, a huge chain. there were lines of cars trying to get into the parking lot. Many things were sold out.

But, from monitoring that store every day for a week, most things, like paper products are restocked daily EARLY IN THE MORNING.

There was a mild element of panic...yet really nothing to panic about.

At 7 am, our only store in town was as crowed as at 5 pm. They were scrambling to stock what they could. We won’t be getting a truck in for another 2 days, maybe. If the truck delivers tp, the store would have been out for 4.5 days. Lots of empty shelves. They finally opened the bacon/cheese/condiment aisle that’s been closed for 2-3 weeks so picked up 4 bacon (Venezuela style shopping is the norm but this takes it over the top). Should have got more but felt bad with every item I put in the cart.

We’re prepped enough but had to make a run to the hardware store so stopped by the grocer. Surprise, flubro hubby didn’t complain like he has been doing. It may be sinking in.
