Just got a call from the hospital where I had an appointment tomorrow (a major Boston hospital) telling me that my appointment has been cancelled.I was told that mine is not an essential visit (I agree with that) and,as a result,it's been cancelled due to a proclamation by the Governor yesterday.

The nurse I talked to told me that the hospital is basically now on an "all hands on deck" status...and that that started before the Governor's speech yesterday.

Looks like we're in this for the long haul.

This is just an FYI post...I don't expect anyone to faint away in fear.Perhaps the most noteworthy part of my post is the fact that this is a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.

Take it with as many grains of salt as you wish.

Back in the 90s there was a physicians’ strike in some of our major hospitals. The mortality rate went down. Embarrassing.

There was a generation that had to fight a war over many years with many deaths on two fronts. Yes this is a ***** yawn

it’s what weak societies do when they have no problems and too much money. They let the deep state treat basically a xhest cold like it’s the bubonic plague

Just got an e-mail from my Veterinarian. They’re not closing. 100% open for business to care for our pets, which cannot get or spread the virus.

They are taking precautions - sanitizer available, wait in your car with your pet until your appointment versus waiting in the lounge, no hand shaking, etc.

Wisconsin schools are closed now for the foreseeable future, but we don’t need rugrat carriers infecting one another, anyway.

Going into town today for gasoline, bullets and beans. I’ll report back if my little Cow Town has started panicking.

We dodged a bullet (for now) in my family.

Our son (lives in trailer on our property) has had fever for 3 days. Went to ER last night. Has the regular old ordinary flu.

My husband’s knee replacement surgery has been postponed until?? It took months to set a date and he’s been to anxious to get it done. God, knows how long the wait will be now.

From one who lived and worked for years surrounded by dense populations of prairie dogs, it’s easy to avoid getting the Plague. And the Plague is easily treatable.

Beans = any kind of canned good/food.

I used to be in a Support Battalion. We were the ones that would run supplies up to the Front Lines to support the troops there. You know, those convoys the Taliban loved to blow up on a weekly basis?

So, ‘Bullets, Beans and Gasoline’ were what we were usually delivering. :)
