NEW YORK (CBS/AP) — Gov. Phil Murphy says all New Jersey bars, restaurants, movie theaters and casinos will close at 8 p.m. Monday amid the coronavirus outbreak. Murphy made the announcement Monday morning along with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont. The same restrictions apply to those two states.
The governors said essential businesses like supermarkets and gas stations will be able to stay open after 8 p.m., though all non-essential businesses must close.

I don’t agree with any of this quarantine stuff. It is causing addition human suffering and is ridiculous.

New Jersey Governor issues statewide curfew—
NJ residents are no longer allowed to travel from 8pm to 5am with the exception of essential travel, Governor Phil Murphy announced Monday. This remains in effect for the foreseeable future.
So what changed in the course of a couple of days
Perhaps owners got together and decided it is happening all over the US so it should happen here too
I am sure there are different ramifications in all kinds of areas if a Company decides to do it versus order coming from Gaming Commission
And what remedy will they demand?
I understand why you would feel that way.
It is causing great economic harm
In this case, it looks like most of the casinos are paying their employees
Small business owners are another story
However, if the powers that be know something you dont...in terms of whatever..be it this is an escaped bioweapon...or that it is a real threat to shut down our health system
Wouldnt you want load management?
There are only so many health care workers..and they are starting to go down, too
It’s panic city and it is stupid. I am embarrassed for the human race that it is so dumb.
Got the usual egg mcmuffins for Sunday breakfast via drive-by window. The young gal looked scared to death to touch the money and return the change. It got me to thinking about the known fact that money is filthy, and would be contaminated if anything was.

My friend, I hope you are correct. I don’t see how different America’s densely populated states like New Jersey are from Italy or the rest of Europe. I believe what’s going on in Europe will be happening here in a few weeks. Rural parts of the USA could be a different story, and many of their residents are a lot more self-reliant and resourceful.
As far as New Jersey goes, remember all those pictures of empty store shelves without a roll of toilet paper in sight? Consider that in two weeks those could be hospitals, only instead of being out of toilet paper they will be out of intensive care beds and ventilators but well stocked with critically ill patients.

I don’t see how imploding the economy helps anyone.
Yup. The common cold has the same symptoms and can lead to a pneumonia in the weak. The democrats got their wish. My liberal friend keeps ripping on trump and talking about the market . He just had a kid a few weeks ago. This is all he can talk about. He’s acting like he’s panicking by I know he’s happy. This is what they all wanted . Anyone with a brain can see that.
If they “know something we don’t” they need to say it if they’re destroying people’s jobs, lives and economy.
Otherwise you’re fine with just accepting complete government control because you’re scared.
Its a balancing act.
Be it right or wrong.
ANd btw, I am taking a huge financial hit in terms of a small business that I derive income from and from a portfolio I have no control over...so it’s not like this isnt hurting me too.
Perhaps it will all blow over at the end of two weeks.
