Some dont have the luxury.
Seriously people can lay of the smart ass replies and be happy that there is somewhere some of them can have this chance to get what they need.
Obviously you never have to go out to shop but isn’t ordering delivery a little expensive?
Good on Dollar General!
And of course - someone has to complain about this gesture... Proof you cannot please everyone.
“Seriously people can lay of the smart ass replies and be happy that there is somewhere some of them can have this chance to get what they need.”
Some people hoard tp, others make smart ass comments.
Yesterday the local grocery store (regional chain, but I live in The Boonies) was pretty much as always, I swung in this evening, and it looked like a horde of barbarians had swept through. NO packaged bread, apart from a few items from small local bakeries; sale ice cream almost gone; packaged cheese about half gone; soup devastated. The manager was talking to the service desk staff about how tomorrow was going to be a long day.
Out of toilet paper? Bidet, bidet, bidet, that's all folks!
Driver’s license.....
“Proof you cannot please everyone.”
It’s a diverse country...
It’s our strength...
I’m gonna be 52 in May.
What do I get free or discounted now?!?!
Restaurants, stores...whatever..I’m all ears!
Sixty, to Stop and Shop. I see Dollar General is doing the same thing. I womder how widespread this is. I also wonder if this is strictly legal, in thw same way that ladies’ nights at bars have been challenged. Could be interesting, giving Jews their own hour to shop on Sunday, for example. Maybe truck drivers only from 10 to 11 pm? And Will it be like high-occupancy lanes at rush hour—with one under 60 allowed in with each senior?
“What do I get free or discounted now?!?!”
Stocks?
lol
I’m a senior now. I’m running out of time to buy them!
By the time they really go up I may be going down! :)
They’re doing it in the opening time because they’ve cleaned the night before so it’s safer.
Yeah, no fake DL out there. :)
They have a bouncer at the door carding people.
Good move - we need more of this good news re: COVID-19.
Because there are decent people out there, trying to do the right thing.
“I swung in this evening”
Did you expect there would be items in the evening after a full day of people shopping?
Used to be you got carded to see if you were old enough to buy beer, now you get carded to see if you’re old enough to buy TP and Grape Nuts.
