A person cannot hear too much Ry Cooder. One can possibly consume too much Wild Turkey but the outcome would be better than many alternatives.
BTW if you noticed in the clip I posed, Marty Stuart is playing Clarence’s original B-bender Telecaster that was built by Gene Parsons so he could play songs like that without a pedal steel. There’s a neat video on YT where Marty explains how Clarences widow decided he should be the one to own and play it.
