Could it be that the most severe pneumonia-like effects of the disease are from a plasmodium secondary infection for which the virus is a gateway?

I understood the general principle right off the bat - it’s not rocket science. The anti-inflammatory properties reduce the symptoms - it doesn’t cure the virus.
