The party bosses were going to determine the candidate anyway. Democrats hate democracy.
They need Bernie out of the way before Biden implodes, not after.
Preferred time-line: Bernie bails, Biden self-destructs, Deep State picks figurehead.
Feared time-line: Biden self-destructs, Bernie gets the nomination, establishment flunkies down-ballot get their @sses handed to them in November.
Second-worse scenario: Biden implodes, Bernie gets screwed out of nomination, sheep in the Bernie flock sit on their hands come November

Cool. I’ve worked in three nursing homes, two hospital ERs and I’m currently working in a third hospital ER. Although I’ve been sidelined for a week because I tested Covid positive but ‘’asymptomatic’’, ‘’without symptoms. Yes Joe is suffering from dementia. If he doesn’t have a stroke between now and November it’ll be a miracle.
Tulsi won’t take as many votes away from Joe as Bernie would.
No, he doesn't. Even if he had the most delegates (and he doesn't), the 'superdelegates' are actually the ones who decide things at the Democrat convention. And they will do what they are told. The whole primary / caucus process for the democrats is theater intended to build momentum.
At this point, the democrats have to decide if they want to lose badly with Biden and clear the decks for 2024, or go with a long shot and try for the win.
I understand that about the supers, but if they try to give the nomination to someone who has won nothing over someone who did win Iowa, I dunno, I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
If I was Burny, I’d be furious.
