What would you expect from socialized medicine!!

I would expect better than what I see in the numbers, Kit Cat.

UK's recovery rate is 1/10 of the US and 1/5 of Italy's rate, according to the data from worldometers.info.

Maybe it is a problem with the recovery numbers.

“Somebody pointed that out to me on the South Korea numbers when it was 0.6%.”

May have been me. I hope I wasn’t too snarky about it. This stupid virus takes forever to resolve. There are still thousands of unresolved cases in SK.

So we disagree. You hold that, although based on real current "not-the-oh-so-January" data, to criticize the family-, economy- and country-damaging overreaction is warranted, and to dismiss the models that have been adjusted downward several times because reality has shown the impacts the models predicted to be grossly overstated is "stupid".

Very well. So leave your fate to the modelers and the politicians and discount "stupid" data which show improving conditions that arguably do not provide continued justification for a growing number of people for the crushing costs (to be clear, these "costs" include significantly more than simply dollars) that continue to mount and the continuing abject fear and panic which is itself harming people and unnecessarily continues to grow, but realize that sooner or later you are going to have to gather the courage to go back outside and associate with other people. I presume that for you that will be when your governor provides his assurance -- and his permission -- for you to do so.

We can disagree, my fellow Freeper, and as neither of us has any authority or ability to do much about any of this except attempt to clarify and perhaps influence a small audience with our thoughts and opinions, can we agree to do so without resorting to pejoratives as that is, well, so "Left".

Sincere best wishes for you continued good health & Cheers! GA

Nice try, but you prove my point. I see you left out the 30% of the deaths were between 50 and 59 stat. So is 50 now “old and worthless”?

LOL!I figured you would be able to do the math. It's pretty obvious what age cohort the 30% of the remaining deaths were from. To me at least. It's pretty significant that 63% of all COVID-19 mortalities in New York are age 70 and above.

By the way, CCP-19 has about the same age-mortality distribution as the flu on a per case basis. CCP-19 just kills a lot more people who get it.

And killing more people seems to be a pretty important thing to avoid, hence the serious nature of COVID-19.

It was easier to get you to post your “old and sick” claim again than to dig through months of your HTT BS. And you post without sources yourself.

Sure I may post without sources, if I am offering a viewpoint. But if I am posting something and representing it as fact, I never knowingly post without a reference. If I do, I would hope I would get called out. Just like I call people out who do so. Deal with it.

You’re a FLuBro.

Once you started tossing around the FluBro tag, you had already given up trying to discuss / argue your position in good faith. To each his own.

this is the comment from the manufacturer

“This is Pure Cinchona Bark (yellow quinine) it has the same therapeutic properties but it does not glow in the dark. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We have certificates available. Thank you.”

boiron sells cinchona but it is very very small dose

“Maybe it is a problem with the recovery numbers.”

“Recovered” is not well defined. Some places keep you until you are virus free for a while, some kick you out after 7 days. I think it’s more of a political definition than a medical one.

South Korea

after weeks of daily 100 or so new cases and 6 or so new deaths (not good ratios)

rate has crawled up to 1.86%

Many of those in Austin, Travis Co., TX came from UT students. Forty-nine, and counting, were those morons who went to Mexico for Spring Break.

One death of a free meals to school kids.

The city has had nearly 2000 complaints about not staying home.

246 of the Travis Co. 502 cases are in the 20-39 age group. M/F nearly even.

I saw that, about USNS Comfort being used as a COVID hospital, yesterday.

I suggested that, from the beginning.

I wondered how you could possibly keep COVID OFF ship.

As we now know, they could not.

One of the biggest impact’s of UK’s socialized medicine is a failure to test in large numbers. Supposedly they are only testing folks in the NHS hospitals.

This is demonstrated by the absurdly high death to positive ratio—which continues to get worse:

Today: 786 deaths, 3,634 tests 22%

Total: 6,159 deaths, 55,242 tests 12%

I worry about native Americans and their high rates of diabetes, they may be at a higher risk of severe illness.
