My source breaks it down by state, and every state shows new cases yesterday. The figures might not be final, but they aren't missing any states. My experience with that site is that the numbers usually don't change much the following day.

One quirk of the site is that it runs on Greenwich time, so mid-evening our time they are showing tomorrow's numbers. (The site monitors all countries, not just the US.) But they have a "Yesterday" tab so you can easily go back.

Look at the states with unexpected dips. I bet you’ll find the reporting does not include all counties and all hours.
