Shouldn't congress and staff take a 50% pay cut? And the White House.
In fact, shouldn't *most* of the government take a pay cut??
If that is a bridge too far, perhaps every government employee making more than $150,000 take a 10% pay cut.
Why only 50%?
Cut it all, like they did to millions of Americans and small businesses.
Better yet suspend all Federal employee pay until the last hairdresser goes back to work.
That would end this quicker than you can say Beemer Payment.

Might as well take another shower before water is labeled non-essential by the left. Congress dictates what Congress gets paid.
Salary is a minor component of their income. Lowering it would at best be a minor blow to their egos.
Not just Congress, the entire fedgov workforce.
And make it permanent.
These are great times for them:
They don’t have to work but get full pay, prices are falling everywhere so they can get all the bargains on everything from tvs, oil/gas, stocks bonds.
They don’t want this to end.
They need some “incentive”.
LOL LOL LOL!!! Congress makes the laws and passes the bills. Who in his/her right mind would vote to cut their salary? Congress has become the biggest easiest money making racket going. Show me a poor Congress Critter and you will be showing me an honest one. HST was correct!
No doubt it would have an impact just exactly opposite of the intended purpose. Use Pelosi as an example. Her salary is a pittance. It would only get more people like her in there.

Salary is a joke. But get them to work from home, get the heck out of Washington and whatever it is they catch there that turns them into monsters. Government tool distancing big time.
