It is no secret Tua Tagovailoa has an injury history. And that history has teams concerned about his durability going forward.
Beyond his well chronicled hip injury.
Here are the previously reported and undisputed injuries, according to Forbes:
Right high ankle sprain (October 2019; surgery; 1 game missed) Dislocated right hip with posterior acetabular wall fracture (November 2019; surgery; missed final 3.5 games)
But Mike Lombardi, who worked for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots front offices and is plugged in among some scouts and personnel departments, recently unloaded on Tagovailoas injury history and reported previously unknown information about multiple broken wrists.
The question to be asked is not is Tua healthy, rather can Tua stay healthy? Being cleared to play and being able to play are two different circumstances.
Thats got to get around that at least one team failed the physical on Tua others have to be concerned now as well., Lombardi said on his GM Shuffle podcast. What they saw...is they saw the fact its not just his hip. Its his ankle. Its his wrist.
He broke his wrist the first day of spring ball one year. And then they fixed it, he came back, and he broke it again.
A wrist broken twice would be new information on the Tagovailoa injury history. The Miami Herald has independently confirmed one broken wrist, following up on Lombardis revelation.
And hes brittle, Lombardi continued. You cant deny it. You cant deny it.

Another Sam Bradford?
With all due respect, Lombardi is a blowhard who learned nothing while working in the Patriots front office.
His takes are often wrong, and often ridiculous. Grain of salt.
HIPPA law violation?
I'm not a Mike Lombardi fan either, but that's concerning.
I’m guessing they have to sign some kind of waiver?
A fragile Samoan?
Does such a person exist?
Whatever happened to Jack Thompson, the “Throwin’ Samoan”?
Lombardi is probably working for a team that wants Tua to fall to them in the draft.
Agree completely, there is a reason he is not with either a team or network.
I was a college student reporting for the school paper.
No contract or legal papers. I used to get into concerts and other sporting events with no problems.
My girlfriend at the time did not like but, oh well.
cough.. cough.. as an older gentleman I have learned ways to be more subtle and get into places. My wife and sons agreed that I was crazy, but after a while, they just went with it. After all, free food and VIP treatment it was good fun.
I would say my favorite event was the Rolling Stones in Columbus Ohio in the late 90s. My wife and I had a blast.
Now here I sit, in front of a keyboard. My wife died over two years ago from cancer and my boys are gone to college.
Nothing left but memories and a few pictures.
WRISTA too, twice.
i’m not a Lombardi fan either but he’s right- its not just the wrist, or ankle or hip or knee...its that Tua is constantly on the mend- and that’s a problem.
who?
so sorry....sad time.....
It really isn’t. I (we) learned to make the most of each moment and instilled that in our boys.
The boys are successful in their own chosen fields and my wife saved many lives while being a nurse.
Good Friday was one of her favorite times of the year. Jesus taught us that our time on earth is short, by believing in him we get to live in eternity with each other in heaven.
I am selfish and miss her but I am even more thankful that she found me. She loved me dearly. I cannot ask for more than that.
The fracture at the hip has got to be a HUGE concern. Hard for any athlete, in the best of shape, to come back from this particular injury. Tough for him but I would pass on taking him in the draft. just sayin
I agree. The Risk to Reward ratio is too much to the negative side. Maybe late first-round or early second round at best.

the hip fracture is significant but again- i was just one of many...
it was just one of many...not i
