From what I have seen, for the few short seconds before I hit mute or channel surf to escape, they have hired all the village idiots to think up and approve these ads. And the worst are the Liberty Mutual, Progressive and Geico with the stupid motorcycle guy.
Funny for the most part when I was growing up the ads were cuter and not irritating. Palmolive's Madge, Charmin's Mr. Whipple(the bears now are irritating, Alka Seltzer with Speedy and Plop Plop fizz fizz and the T-Bones song. Back when I was a kid the irritating commercials were the exception, now they are the rule.

When I took a job on the road back in 2017 I terminated my cable as I was not going to be home. Purchased my first antenna. As I visited home (Detroit) all I had was antenna TV. After @ 3 years I find I dont miss cable. MeTV, Movies! This, H&I , Detroit Public TV etc. suffice very well. Many new ones have also come on-line. Its almost like being back in the 70s , but you dont have to get up to change the channel. 👍

with the stupid motorcycle guyMotor? I think they are competing for the most stupid ad, perhaps that's a marketing badge of honor these days.

I like the touchy-feely commercials - they feel like America.
The ones I don't like are the ones that put a Chinese woman or man in every ad to remind us we're a racist nation of we object to the Chinese Communist party killing our loved ones.
I see an ad like that and I will NOT buy the product. Americans have the sense to know the difference between an attack by an organized commie state and our Chinese neighbors.
Our sicko ad agencies - had they existed during World War II would have have Germans with heavy accents in every other ad to remind us all Germans aren't Nazis... as if we didn't know.
A pox on all New York Ad Agencies... ForeFront Web\ , Evestar , Aspiration Marketing , Miller Public Relations , Web Sharx , Anderson Collaborative andersoncollaborative.com , Bonfire Effect bonfireeffect.com ,Brenton Way brentonway.com , DIAP Media diapmedia.com , Digital Silk digitalsilk.com , GB-Agency gb.agency , HMG Creative hmgcreative.com
YES, WE NOTICE.

Some commercials got a quick edit. The 'punch' on the Dominoes "Risky Business" commercial was that the delivery guy was Curtis Armstrong, who played Joel’s (Tom Cruise) friend Miles in the movie. They had to edit out the delivery guy to advertise their touchless delivery.

I, too, would recommend OAN over FNC.
However, no OAN here as yet. :-/

I mute my tv or change the channel when ads come on. I refuse to be insulted by them.

Make OOAN National! Trump promote this cable station and make it equal to FOX. All freepers and conservatives and Libertarians request this from your cable providers! It is what NPR was supposed to be. Real News.

For those shows I record and then have to watch the commercials anyway, I just delete the program and move on.
To: RightField
I actually do that, but I’ve been watching a lot of shows “on demand” where your can’t FFW through the ads.

Ya, I’ve been noticing that, too. It’s getting harder and harder to avoid the PC crap... I’m turning into an old person, lol. How times have changed; my parents wouldn’t let me see West Side Story when I was a kid because they felt it was too sexual.

As soon as this is over, advertisers will get right back to their standard formula for commercials:
- Depicting white males as rude, stupid or incompetent, while depicting minorities as super smart and sympathetic
Dads to media: We're not idiots!
