And unless you went through the court eviction process, you could be seeing huge fines for an constructive self-help eviction.

Judges will come down especially hard on you if your state/ county/municipality has a covid-19 eviction-freeze order.

Just saying. I’m suing my landlord for a shit-ton of money for an illegal self-help eviction. Only difference is I was fully paid until the end of May.

We were covered under the contract. We had full landlord access. It was legal all the way. He notified us when he was ready to surrender-we drove up & he was still there. Place was a wreck. We had given him 3-day notice to vacate. 5 days before. All laws were followed. I just got a little vocal about the state of my home and said I’d join him...
No rent for two months and a guy dumb enough to drunk text his landlord....
Probably nowhere near your situation.
