Mine too. I covered some plants, and brought some still in containers, in. Checking the NWS Offices, and the national map, it looks like this plunge of cold air southward begins in earnest around Paducah, KY (freeze warnings start just east of there) and continues eastward into the Appalachian Mountains. Many cold records may fall.

So did it snow there?
The volcano Krakatau erupted a couple of months ago and spewed IIRC 15 KM of debris into the atmosphere.

“...Mohawk Valley. Nothing shown up here yet.”
I think the storm is gonna be more harry as you move toward the afro alley...
I’m sitting here “Freep’ing” and watching the snow storm out my window in New Hampshire (east of Concord area).
Man, I HATE snow. Suppose to hit 32 every night until Tuesday.
I can’t wait till I have enough cash to build our home on our 10 acres in Okeechobee FL.
I live in Herkimer. We have snow on the ground, and they predict more by noon. The winds are also picking up. At 8 AM the temp is around freezing.
Snowing right now a little south west of Boston..
It is ridiculous cold for May in Atlanta. Our heat is still kicking on and we had to close the hatch door on the chicken house the last two nights.

I went and bought more hay and closed the vents in order to keep my girls warm. As the sun gets a little higher I am going to let them out to sunbathe.
By the time I was 21 and graduating from college, I decided "enough" with cold weather, snow and perpetual cloudy skies and went to California. It's nice to see snow on your own terms when you want it. So, after 45 years in CA, we bought a retirement home in North Idaho close to Canada...back to the cold and snow! LOL.
Herkimer was a Palatine German from the Middle Rhine area, close to where our family emigrated from. All sorts of connections!
General Nicholas Herkimer at Oriskany (he died from these wounds):
I was a transplant from PA. I had two tours at Griffiss AFB, met my wife there. She was from Little Falls. Ended up staying here for about 30 years. Love all the history from up here and I like 3 out of the 4 seasons. But winter up here is too much. My wife passed away back in March, so Ill be selling the homestead up here and moving back to PA (Lebanon).
I went to bed about 4 this morning, and there was a light dusting on the cars. It’s been gone for a while now. We may possibly get a light downfall later, but like most snowfalls at this time of the year, it won’t be sticking around.
Really?
