Is there a solar minimum mentioned in there?

I hope my garden holds up. It's supposed to hit 32 at 6 am. I have some rather tender pepper plants. Covered them with buckets.

It's easily been 15 to 20 years and I'm still waiting for this global warming thing. Darn it, they keep pushing it out another 10 to 12 years!

Brrr. My sister lives in Pittsburgh; my mother and other sister live in far western MD. It’s supposed to be pretty raw there the next few days. I’m in Alabama, and it’s gonna stay in the low 40’s at night here, 60’s during the day, but our peppers are already flowering. Our tomatoes are already about 18” tall.

Snow on Easter was pretty common in NE Ohio, back in the day. Imagine it still is.

I feel your pain. We always have a late snow here in April and sho nuff it happened again. The only thing damaged were my apricot trees. Had a lot of little green ones. All gone now. Everything else fine.

Depended on the year and how early or late Easter fell. But not this year. Easter was late, which usually means nice warm and sunny blasts of “God, yes! That smells like Spring!”. Not this year. Late February has continued into May. We had flurries today. April snow? Fine. Normal (and satisfying in an “I told you so” way). But haven’t seen snow in May since I was a kid.

Bomb Cyclone, Thundersnow

Sounds like it could be worse than a Super Blood Wolf Moon!
Thought I'd be a goner when that happened.

I live in Rome, NY in the Mohawk Valley. Nothing’s shown up here yet. It’s 34 degrees at the moment. The local weather is saying whatever shows up will be south of us, and it’s supposed to warm up significantly starting Monday.

I think you are overreacting. Should weather not be reported anymore?

The storm could intensify quickly enough over 24 hours to become a bomb cyclone by Saturday night.

This has been an endless winter in the North Country.

The heat of summer cannot come soon enough.

It’s going to hit 84 tomorrow in Seattle. Global Warming no doubt. (Except on Monday it’s supposed to be 65 and rainy....)
