I’m also member with the WGA and Producers Guild, and they HAVE to send me checks, aside from SAG. What the F am I paying my dues for? For this situation! I personally know Teamsters location truck drivers who went on PAID vacation this Memorial Day weekend. Why? There’s no production obviously. Another party who wants to open are the major studios because they HAVE to send those royalty checks. As long as they’re standing and in business, they have to. Which puts them in the Open’ side.

Walking Dead has been shooting in Ga. for the past 10 years now, and they have a good relationship with the film office there.

Laid off union workers are receiving about $450 per week on unemployment plus the $600 per week fed “bonus” through July. $4000 per month to do nothing (which of course they wouldn’t receive if called back to work and didn’t show).

Well, if hollyweird never makes another film, or show, I would be perfectly entertained in my spare time by those public domain videos, wherever they can be found.

In eight years, all of Chaplin’s films will be public domain. John Wayne a year after that. But until then, there are plenty of other great artists who passed 50 or more years ago. Walt Disney kicked it in 1968, unless he’s still alive but on ice. Buster Keaton died in ‘66. Stan Laurel died in ‘65. Larry Fine is the last of the original three stooges to still maintain a copyright, and that’s expiring in five years. As for Joe Besser and Curly Joe, I never liked them, so don’t care to wait for their work to pass into the public domain. There’s plenty to be had, and if they’re presented in a convenient, copyrighted streaming format for a pittance, I might never miss the more recent crapola. There’s a business model in this brainstorming somewhere.

I guess they’ll be okay then. And so will the fat cats at union HQ.

Governor Nuisance is removing the restriction. It’s up to Hollywood to go back to work or not.

Nobody is forcing them to open, they can stay closed as long as they want.

My thoughts exactly, no one's putting a gun to their head.

“Have they talked to the unions, because I don’t think that’s going to jive with them,” the exec added.

Science.

Because all the Calif unionistas are making a ton on unemployment. $450 a week and $600 from the feds. I’ve got an upscale auto dealer client and the techie/wrenchers refuse to come back. They are making more than their salaries. What have we become?

Since I watch mostly shows from the 50’s and 50’s I have decades of catching up to do.
I scan the tv guide (online) and other then Last Man Standing there is not much else to watch on the networks.
I am on the pc looking at news, interesting stuff, more entertaining then hollywood shows.

Chinese producers and financiers are insisting their money making propaganda machine reopen so they may continue to profit while destroying America and the entertainment industry.
