Sooo... these clowns at Disney expect, even the unwashed, to pay $100 admission to wear these useless things in 100 degree heat? Glad Im not in that industry.
Here’s the problem. Some people—like me—bought multi-day theme park tickets (in my case, to Disneyland) in January 2020 that are good for a full year, until January 2021. I had planned to go in June.
Disney is not refunding those. Their position is: use them before the deadline, when we reopen. Therefore, if I want to get my $$ worth, I have to go before Jan 2021. They aren’t extending the deadline for use.
Never mind that when those tickets were purchased, there were no mask requirements, or distancing, or reduced offerings etc. Too bad, says Disney. But buyer beware; likely the fine print says “no refunds, even if in a global pandemic, as long as the park is open.”
So it’s not so much that Disney customers are idiots for going in summer/fall 2020; it’s just that some of us have nonrefundable tickets. If I choose not to go, I’ve lost $1000s in value (4 of us with multi-day tickets).
