At first I thought it was the Queen but I’m thinking maybe renovations.
One crest is removed from one gate, more than likely for maintenance.
Buckingham palace is scheduled to undergo maintenance and the Queen has been at Windsor Castle due to Covid.
Public Duties are carried out by more than just the Household Division. As one commenter on Youtube pointed out, the guard appears to be from the RAF Regiment, not the Gurkhas.
A lot of different units have carried out Public Duties over the years including the RAF Regiment, The Royal Marines, The Royal Navy, and numerous Commonwealth units.

My guess is that they are getting the palace ready for renovations.

The guard is Royal Air Force. Not Ghurka.
Ghurkas: Who the Brits call when the s*** gets serious. In WWII they’d get naked and sneak into Japanese lines with just their kukhri and collect some heads. Sort of for sport.
The Queen is staying at Sandringham.
She wears the crown once a year at the opening of Parliament. She wears tiaras for white tie state dinners which usually take place in the fall.
Prince Phillip is 98 and does not make public appearances anymore.
