And yet, people that you would think know better than to keep feeding them dollars continue to buy tickets to games and buy football packages for TV.
Wasnt that the game where Bird and Dominique Wilkins each took the ball every possession down the stretch, each unstoppable in their own way, with Bird finally outlasting him as Wilkins moves were more physically demanding and wore him out? What a showdown.
We have heard so much about systemic racism during these days of protesting, rioting, looting, burning and civil disobedience. Now I assume that the definition of systemic racism is that whites are being favored over blacks.
So where is this systemic racism? Can we find it in the NFL? Nope the NFL is undeniably mostly populated by black athletes. Can we find this systemic racism in the NBA? Nope, same can be said about the NBA as the NFL. What about MLB? Well, do black baseball players represent 13% of the league? I don’t know, because I do not watch MLB but my guess is that if they don’t they come very close.
Ah, ha, maybe it is hiding in college athletics. Nope, just the opposite. Most major sports in our colleges and universities are predominately populated by blacks. How many times have we seen a college basketball team consisting of all blacks sans even one white player?
Well, can we find it in academia? Nope, it appears no one is being denied entry into our colleges and universities merely because of their race. In fact, we can find multitudes of examples of minorities being granted entry only because of their race. It is called affirmative action. I do not believe that anyone is being denied a position on a faculty because of their race. To the contrary, entire courses of study seemly have been created to accommodate minorities—namely African-American studies, women’s-studies, Asian-studies, Middle Eastern-studies, etc.
Can we find this systemic racism in the entertainment fields? Well, it appears not. Our movie and television screens and concert venues are filled with minorities. There is an entire genre for blacks called rap. Also, it appears to me that for the last couple of years, there are more black actors appearing in television commercials than white actors.
Maybe, just, maybe it is slithering around in our work places. Now when we realize that blacks make up only 13% of our population, can we really think that this systemic racism is dominating where we work. There was a time in the past when systemic racism was prevalent where I worked. This was prior to the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Sometime in the 70s we were given orders at my place of work (which was a Fortune 500 corporation) that when we needed to hire an employee to either fill a new position or to fill a vacancy, we had to hire a black. Now this is not necessary because there are plenty of blacks populating our work places. So hardly anyone physically able to march in a protest today experienced what others did in the 70s and prior years.
Well, maybe this systemic racism can be found in our government. Well, it is probably safe to say that blacks can now be found in every level of government—local, state, and federal. They are well represented in every government level and every government position, both elected, appointed and civil service.
So can someone help me find this systemic racism.
So tired of these entitled bullies.

Yeh, for sure. A lot of folks are tired of them. They think that they can act like they want, disrespect our flag, first responders, military, etc, and life will continue for them as it was. But, I believe if they return to their kneeling during the national anthem and such lots of fans will turn off their tvs, stop attending games. TheYre going to find that the golden goose that laid the golden eggs is dead.
No, we need more. Brees
No. The game you referenced was in Boston and in the playoffs. It was a close battle.
This was a neutral site regular season game though Atlanta played home games in New Orleans that season. Boston won easily by comparison to the PO game which is why the reactions were more dramatic.
Check out the quote from the actress I posted elsewhere in this thread.
Enough anger brewing....you might see NBA enthusiasts by the hundreds of thousands just turn away.
Great memories, thanks. I actually went to the game in Atlanta when Wilkins made the top 10 in NBA scoring (at the time) and had a fantastic time. But I havent even watched a game on TV of these current thugs in about 5 years.
I think it all boils down to one, very simple thing: The cultural/societal left has pretty much succeeded it taking away the Freedom of Speech for anyone not able to pass their ‘purity of beliefs’ tests. So, now, with Freedom of Speech now successfully morphed into: “Free Speech for me, but not for thee,” the remaining bugbear that they’ve decided needs to likewise be eliminated is the “Freedom of Silence”.
Anything other than immediate, enthusiastic, complete and ACTIVE agreement/participation will no longer be tolerated, PERIOD.
Krapperdick’s ‘taking a knee’ just became MANDATORY.
Mr. McCollum, in terms of the value of professional sports' contribution to society, you and your fellow professional athletes are fish heads. Chum. Gristle.
Go fornicate yourself.
The risk that the Kaperdick’s are taking this time is—how many fans are willing to give them a mulligan?
To CJ McCollum:
I will not comply.
Another cuck for China speaks.
Wonder if Xi Xingping makes him dance and sing for sneaker money.
Drew Brees issued an apology today
It’s at NOLA.com
Don’t know how to post articles
I said in another thread his endorsements were threatened & the charities he supports lose funding. He’s done more for poor blacks in New Orleans than his hypocrite teammates
“...Bullying appears to tbe answer to handle the wrong 1A POVs.”
That’s actually nothing new. It’s actually the FIRST lesson we learn back on the playground. Some of us tend to try and move beyond it by adulthood, but the current generation has NOT, and they choose to live by it.
PATRICK’S PLAYGROUND RULE #1: “Fists win more arguments than words EVER will.”
The NBA is busy rigging their new season playoff format to ensure a LeBron James-Zion Williamson match up for TV. The NBA little more than pro wrestling at this point.
Apparently, it's in our small businesses - whose owners only hire people the same color as them. That's why they need to be looted and burned down. /s
In truth, many small businesses are owned by Asians and Middle Easterners - who do mostly hire people the same color as them. Because they are related.
