Dallas rules protesters as high-risk, eligible for subsidized COVID-19 testing

City officials in Dallas have declared protesters a high-risk population, and are particularly susceptible for coronavirus infections. Due to this new status, protesters now qualify for federally subsidized coronavirus tests.

The Dallas Morning News reports that the city will open up a pop-up testing location for those who have participated in civil rights protests over the past 10 days. The site will be near the American Airlines Center and is expected to open Wednesday.

The pop-up location will be run by the Parkland Health and Hospital System, as well as the city of Dallas. Since protesters are now designated a high-risk group, any person regardless of age, occupation or symptoms is eligible for testing.

**SNIP**

Per data from the Texas Department of Health, Dallas County has the second most confirmed coronavirus cases, reporting 12,093, following Harris County with 14,586.

Leftists are trying to kill each other? Say, wasn't there a fine attached to violating the stay-at-home order?

Free testing? Really? Oh wait, it actually means the American taxpayers are now picking up the tab. Just add it to our bill, along with repairing the destruction these punks left in their wake. SMDH.

probably makes sense. in this case, subsidized testing isn’t protecting them, it’s protecting us from them.

With the "protesters" wearing masks, how are they going to know who was and wasn't a protester?

1. Everyone show up for free testing. Overwhelm the system.

OR

2. ID everyone who shows up for free testing and investigate them for rioting...

So anyone who wants a “free” China Syndrome Virus test can just self-identify as an arsonist or a looter, and the taxpayers will pay their bill? That’s so shockingly stupid that only a democrat could have created this rule.

Only for barbershops, salons and churches.

So a law abiding citizen like me can’t even get a test if we agree to pay for it, but those who ignored the lockdown get it for free? LOL

So I may just put together a group of family and friends and go down and get everyone tested saying we were part of th protest. All wearing MAGA hats.

Prince of Space @2: "Free testing? Really? Oh wait, it actually means the American taxpayers are now picking up the tab."

If the ChiCom virus testing involves a high voltage cattle prod and extensive body cavity sampling of the protesters insurrectionists it might be worth the cost.

Can’t say that I’m really bothered by the probability that some of them will be absent from work for extended periods and lose their jobs. Their employers shouldn’t have hired radical lefties, either.

Their employers’ group medical insurance premiums should also be increased. It’s not right for other insurance customers to pay for their ignorance.

Yes. They’re preferred for jobs by too many employers, and many of them are overpaid and obviously overly mobile.
