Tucker Carlson Leaps to Top of Cable News Ratings Following Controversy Over BLM

Fox News host Tucker Carlson topped all comers in cable news ratings on Monday after a week in which the conservative pundit lost advertisers over comments he made about protests following the death of George Floyd.

Carlson drew nearly 4.2 million viewers during Monday’s 8 p.m. Eastern prime-time slot, coming in ahead of fellow Fox News personality Sean Hannity, who normally enjoys the largest news audience on cable, TVNewser reported.

Carlson lost some high-profile advertisers last week after he said the protests following the death of George Floyd are “definitely not about black lives.”

In a segment that aired on June 8, Carlson said regarding the protests, “No matter what they tell you, it has very little to do with black lives. If only it did.”

“If Democratic leaders cared about saving the lives of black people — and they should — they wouldn’t ignore the murder of thousands of black men in their cities every year.”

“They wouldn’t put abortion clinics in black neighborhoods,” Carlson said.

“They would instead do their very best to improve the public schools and to encourage intact families.”

He concluded, “This may be a lot of things, this moment we are living through, but it is definitely not about black lives and remember that when they come for you, and at this rate, they will.”

The hashtag “IStandWithTuckerCarlson” was trending on Twitter on Friday.

“The mob will stop at nothing to destroy the lives of anyone who criticizes them,” he wrote.

“Advertiser exodus is the new book burning, canceling anyone you disagree with,” Schaffer added.

"The mob will stop at nothing to destroy the lives of anyone who criticizes them" Be prepared when they come after you. "It will happen eventually".

Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe tweeted on Wednesday that she believes Carlson is drawing such a large audience because people are looking for independent thinking.

“I think there is a reason Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan are thriving right now in the current media landscape,” Boothe wrote.

Oh yeah. Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan, they’re both on the same wavelength. A couple of independent thinkers.

I wonder how many people over 35 even know who Joe Rogan is. The “current media landscape” is changing like nothing we have seen since the advent of television.

When truth is banned ; truth tellers are very exciting to listen to

I’ve always loved Tucker he always shoots straight from the aspect of truth and is completely unafraid

despite there being over the years multiple left-wing activist groups demonstrating outside of his house scaring his wife and small children

I do notice that he just sold his house for like 3.5 million and you can bet nobody’s going to know his new address

I have watched quite a few of Rogan’s podcasts. He leans socialist but he is a free thinker and still values freedom. He will probably get red-pilled sooner or later.

I refuse to watch Rogan unless Alex Jones and/or Eddie Bravo are on. Then, I MUST watch.

Bears repeating. Over and over and over again.

It’s an old trick. Associate some up-and-coming voice on the right with a nutcase on the left.

They did it with Rush Limbaugh 30 years ago. Lumped him first with Mort Downey, then with Howard Stern (with whom he shares a birthday). The MSM never mentioned Rush’s name without mentioning one of those two as equivalent.

I think he’s a pretty good interviewer and commentator. He tries a little too hard to play “big brained centrist” but he will challenge libs and call them out. That’s more than most will do.

If (God forbid) we end up losing Rush
Tucker is looking like the heir-apparent.

[[Carlson is far and away the best on FNC.]]

He is- question is= how long will fox allow this ‘rebel’ to tell the truth? They fired Trish Reagan for not toeing the leftist political line- how long before they get rid of carlson for not toeing the liberal agenda line?

Tucker for the most part looks at situations in a mostly truly objective manner- and Fox can’t have that- Fox sucks Hopefully they dont’ get rid of him and hopefully they don’t muzzle him if they don’t fire him-

I can’t speak to Rogan’s cognitive abilities, but Carlson is clearly much smarter than Hannity or O’Reilly, both of whom have to filibuster to drown out some of the smarter liberal guests. Whereas Carlson can absorb their entire spiel, and take it apart point by point right there and then. He’s just a smart guy who’s quick on his feet in a way few right-wingers on TV are. He’s Bill Buckley, with an edge.

I mentioned for quite a few years that big corporations were choosing political correctness and unhealthy social indulgences over money. Others argued with me, claiming that all such decisions were based on markets and money.

The bosses want slavery and subservience over money. Their vanities are what they try to divide and conquer for.
