It's really very simple: SUSPEND CELL PHONE SERVICE IN THOSE CITIES FROM 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Trump COULD stop them, but if he did, there is NO WAY he would be re elected.
Your idea has numerous legal issues. First, stopping all cell service would eliminate 911 as well as other medical or necessary calls by those that have nothing to do with riots.
Such a plan would have to target certain phones, now we are talking about warrants and probable cause. This would target BLM people and labeled racist.
And the leaders are not stupid, they will find other ways to communicate, Farcebook, Twitter, land lines to name a few not to mention using a cell outside of your hours.
I do not like most vanities, this is certainly one of them.
Fire trucks with high pressure water hoses could take care of it all.
Better idea, monitor their comms, track who they talk to. Investgate, make arrests
Most people in such cities only have cell phone service. Suspend that as you advise and you will harm and kill far more than the current riots are harming and killing.
You may want to rethink that...think of the side-by-side “then and now” visuals the Left could use in ads of protests being halted by fire hoses. Got to think modern times.
Maybe use ads of moms and dads wrestling over the question of whether or not to pay Junior’s cell phone bill then cut to Junior using said-cellphone videoing the toppling of a statue, maybe the ganging up on a pregnant woman, or how about spray painting “kill whitey”. Close with a caption, “Have you heard from your son/daughter lately? Isn’t it time to give them a call?”
Bettrr still—make the wearing of masks in public illegal, unless you are sick and on your way to the hospital.
Then NYC, etc., have more than enough facial recognition installed to prosecute all the criminals.

About 10 guys with running chain saws walking down the street WILL stop any rioting and looting instantly. NO ONE will rush a guy with a chain saw. That guy down in the valley in Texas proved that. Genius.
People get the kind of government they deserve. When they act the idiot like they've been doing, they are going to get someone like me over them. They will be begging for a return to what it used to be before they went nuts, but it will be too late.

Take an extra 30 seconds and think why that will not work
Two months ago I had to call 911 for an ambulance when my wife had a totally unexpected seizure at 9:00 PM. We only have cell phones.
Every cell phone pings it’s location. I wonder if there is a way to temporarily disable cell phones in a small geographic area so that they can make emergency (911) calls only until they left the delineated restricted area.
I would change the verb in your title from, “Protests,” to, “Riots and looting.”
We have the right to protest and peaceably assemble.
Once laws are broken, it’s no longer a, “Protest.”
Change the name of the NY Yankees. It is estimated there are 8 million plus fans in the US. Change the name and I bet a majority of the lefty Yankee fans will say stop the madness now.
The way to stop lefties is by using Alinsky tactics on them.
The “then and now” visuals would show how fools can be brought down without bullets. The visuals would prevent a lot of destruction.

NYC is NOT going to prosecute any rioters and is moving quickly toward non prosecution of non “white collar” crimes altogether.
I agree. If rioting and looting are not stopped, why should anybody be arrested for other crimes?
