Back around 83 84 when i was around 15 16 i’d have my buddy over a lot and i would cook Oscar Mayer cheese dogs and we would watch Letterman at my beloved grandmothers house together.
Good times that i miss...
I don’t doubt for a second that he was because my witnesses saw the van guys cleaning out Kennisons car of alcohol and other stuff at the crash site.
The “he cleaned up his act” at time of death was take news.
I like the “Silent Bob” look - I’d love to know if Kevin Smith ripped it off from him.
Yeah, that’s what I read.
First irony of Kennisons passing. I’d seen him at the universal amphitheater a few years before his death and a part of his routine then was about marriage and in it he asks God to strike him dead if he ever gets married. I don’t think he was 6 months in when he died.
He was a preacher for awhile. Every now and then he would launch into it during a set, he really had it down.
Try actual research asswipe.
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Manslaughter charges were filed Tuesday against a Las Vegas youth whose truck slammed head-on into comedian Sam Kinison’s car, killing the controversial comic and badly injuring his new wife.
The 17-year-old youth, whose name was not released because he is minor, was charged with one count of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, said San Bernardino County Deputy District Attorney Frank Motikeit.
The boy was being held at San Bernardino Juvenile Hall. A detention hearing was scheduled Wednesday.
The boy and a friend were driving to a truck show in Arizona when the accident occurred Friday on U.S. Highway 95, Motikeit said.
Their 1974 Chevrolet pickup reportedly was filled with beer cans as they tore down the desert road, swerving into oncoming traffic near the California-Nevada border.
‘There were a bunch of beer cans in the back of the truck,’ Motikeit said. ‘We’re still awaiting results of the blood test for signs of alcohol or drugs.’
Hey Kozak, I said I may have been wrong on point. But Kennison most certainly was driving recklessly and could’ve cause his crash dozens of times before it.
That was only part of the desert routine. Here’s the rest. Adult langue warning;

Your news story is the after affects. Kennison was no doubt high on drugs and alcohol at time of crash. I remember the news acting like he was some kind of saint when he died.
“After being pulled from his car after having a serious accident, Sam Kinison had a conversation with a person nobody else could see, saying I dont want to die. I dont want to die., he paused, then asked But why?. After another pause, his friend heard him clearly say: Okay, okay, okay.
I heard this exact story from a fellow comedian that was his friend at a comedy club in OKC. He said he was at his side when he died. I forget his name, but he was fairly well known at the time.
MY Times article at the time states that his brother Bill and his manager were in the van. It also says that they said the beer cans on the road weren’t from Kennisons car and they don’t dispute their statement that the pickup truck pulled into there lane to pass a car. The way it read was weird. I’ll see one of my witnesses in a week or so, I’ll ask her what she remembers. The only reason I posted was because I have 2nd hand information. I’ll ask if she saw anything specifically removed. She may not have exited her car when they stopped.
Wasn’t he brother, and manager, driving, with Sam in the back?
Just back from his, er, “a” honeymoon with his new bride.
If you say so. I thought he changed careers because he couldn't fill the pews, as it were, let alone bring in the donations to support his ministry.
Kenison was driving trans am, his new wife was in front passenger seat, no one in back. Manager and brother in van following and not directly involved in accident.
I meant his delivery was good - he could have cleaned up on TBN fleecing the gullible had he not switched to comedy where he also earned very well.
We need to ban this dangerous drug.
