Your comments also apply to the Americans swallowed up in the negative self-talk. 244 years in the history of the world is nothing.

Reminds me of this story from a couple of days ago:

Perhaps he could start with the history lesson in the ship's motto and beyond:

"I have not yet begun to fight."

You can't keep a good man down. He's like the famous burning bush that Moses decided to check out in order to discover the nature of the thing.

Who knows what this young lady could have accomplished by embracing her unexpected new direction in life, the one not involving an intentional fall.

Terrible in that figure skating is all about falling down hard and getting right back up again.
