This may have been a true suicide, considering that the young girl suffered from both epilepsy and depression.

In 1984 I was a junior at Syracuse U. A friend was the RA at a 20 story dorm doing the midnight to 8am night shift on the first floor entry. He heard a thud outside as something hit the concrete about 2 am. He was the first on the scene.
Called 911.
A guy rolled over in bed and fell out the sliding window from one of the upper floors. The dorm rooms all had these sliding windows that opened up about 30”. After that, they made it so the windows could not open more than about 8”. SU settled out of court with his folks.
