The ones who tried to storm the police chief’s house had a bunch of lies about why they were there. “we’re here to see a friend” one girl said.
They lie in Portland all the time- “he had a gun” as an excuse for their terrorizing of citizens.
I feel that these kids have been taught and it just reminds me of things Obama said about getting in people’s faces, etc.
For some criminal types, the lie comes out of their mouths instantly and with little thought. And they can be quite convincing. They know that if they can create a seed of doubt, they may get you to believe them instead of your lying eyes.
It’s one reason why cops tend to become cynical.
