My problem with the masks ... I’m very hard of hearing. I never realized how much I was reading lips. With the mask on the other person, I’ve gone really deaf!

I was in a store the other day and thought I saw a guy in there I had worked with 35 years ago. Could not really be sure though as the bottom 2/3 of his face was masked.

This guy has a very distinctive voice, and the moment he began speaking to the cashier I knew it was him. I was six places back in a socially distanced checkout line though so I never got to say hi to him.

How are you supposed to recognize anybody anymore?

I was born without an ear drum in my left ear ... and have lost hearing in my right ear. so I learned lip reading almost after I learned to speak. I use it very often.

I cannot wear ear buds...so stereo either. As a result I almost never go to movies. I can’t learn foreign languages.

it’s an irritant. Yes, I must see lips move to”hear”.
