Anchorage, AK to Great Falls, MT is over 2,000 miles and a good portion is over terrain that is very remote and inhospitable, especially in the winter. I have wanted to fly our plane to Alaska on many occasions; it would be a great adventure. I love flying over mountainous areas but my wife watched the movie Alive about the soccer team which crashed in the Andes one too many times. She always vetoes the idea.
