Swift, CR England and others will only take hair from the back of the head (2” required). Haven’t cut my hair since March and it’s almost 2” now.
You don’t want to work for those companies anyway.
Look for a local mom n pop company that gets you home every night to sleep in your own bed and crap in your own toilet.
It beats walking 200 yards through the rain at a truck stop (after being woken up by the reefer next to you kicking on and off all night, or worse, a livestock trailer full of stomping, mooing cows,) to share a restroom with 100 other guys, and when you walk in, there’s a Somalian dude washing his junk in the restroom sink with no humility or regard for anyone else.
And the next day, you get to drive 450 miles to some damn place outside Topeka you’ve never seen before, miss the only turn to get into their lot, find your way 20 miles around to get back there, and then get bitched out by your dispatcher because you were ten minutes late for your appointment. Then you may be able to spend the night in their parking lot with only a porta-john for facilities and no place to buy even a bag of peanuts.
Home every night is where it’s at. Ignore the “experience required” claims in the ads. Local companies need drivers. If you look upstanding, intelligent, and like you have your sheet together you’re already halfway hired. Pass their driving test on interview day and you’ll have a job.
