>>They will adjust (fake) the numbers upward to support their narrative.<<

I think the last time that happened (I think it was 4th Q of a bad SB?) the advertisers sued and won.

They mess with numbers at their peril.

I hope that it was just more curiosity to see what it was like, and that very quickly the ratings will drop even more.

Your points are apt. They actually demonstrate the absurd betrayal of the players' actual interests by the NFL bureaucracy! Think about it.

Protesting or speaking out is one thing. What is not appropriate is for players making many millions of dollars, being displayed suggesting their race is not being fairly treated in contemporary America!

The players are being manipulated--made to look ridiculous-- by a media & their sycophants, as pawns in an attempted revolution. It calls to mind the French Revolution & the march on the Bastille led by the King's cousin from his enormous Left Bank palace, while dressed in peasant garb!

If Roger Goodell had a functional brain, he would not allow this farce, which can only make the participants look ridiculous.

Virtue signalling? No inappropriate betrayal of reason!! Obvious betrayal of trust.

“... find out there is no money due to the reduced NFL revenue.”

It is likely that they’re getting paid. And by people who agree with or who push their sedition.

“Yeah a 16% drop is discouraging given the circumstances. Should be at least 30, 40%”

I’d like to see the demographics of that drop. So would advertizers.

only 16% down ... a lot of fat old white men are having a hard time giving up their crushes on their heroes. There’s just something about wearing another man’s name on your back ... especially when there’s a very good chance that he’s a felon. Lovely.

Even worse than the hero worship is the fake sense of community. Many of the stadiums aren’t even located in the cities identified in the team names. Those cities are 3rd World style hell-holes now that people don’t want to go to after dark. Sportsball cannot die fast enough, and the NFL is the worst of it. The sense of community is just a marketing campaign based on leftover emotions from a bygone era. Lovely.

That disgusting display ruined the Dallas Cowboys for us. Don’t care if they go bankrupt, in fact that would be welcome.

Every time I see a story about this game, the attendance goes up. 15,000, then 16,000, and this story says 17,000. Are the democrats harvesting attendance records after the fact?

And why is an official attendance not available? I have never seen an official attendance of exactly XX,000. It's always been xx, 332, or xx, 567 - never an even 1,000.

It will never be 0. At least half the NFL audience are gamblers and they don’t care anything about the protests or politics unless it affects the points spread. A 16% drop is roughly what I expected given that the remaining half of the audience might reflect the population at large. The left will continue to watch along with the mushy middle and our side is dropping out which should be about a quarter of the previous audience. I’d say they already lost some in the last few years and this 16% loss is still what is left from our side.

The Super Bowl will still be the highest rated program by a considerable distance.

The Top 30 programs will still contain a bunch of NFL playoff and prime time games.

Oakland A’s had BLM stenciled on the back of the mound.

Morons. Seriously, MLB (BLM spelled backward?) and the rest of these idiots must be getting ENORMOUS pressure to tow the line here.

Normally, you’d quip something like, “I wonder if someone on the left doesn’t have sex tapes on the owners?”

Given the Epstein/Maxwell thing, and the Bob Kraft thing, I’m pretty confident they do, and its the reason why you see these idiots knuckling under.

They aren’t idiots. They know this is literally crapping where they eat.
