I’m not quite understanding on why they were found in a well. Where they originally put there or thrown down into a well at a later time? Why a well, which I picture as a deep narrow hole in the ground?
By ‘well’, they just mean ‘shaft’. The Egyptians moved to this form of tomb after the pyramids fell to grave robbers.
