Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden appeared to forget the name of the Great Recession while also getting confused about the economic stimulus package he oversaw while serving as Barack Obama's Vice President during a speech on Saturday.

But when Biden went on to compare the current situation to the Great Recession, the global economic downturn that occurred between 2007 and 2009, the presidential nominee appeared to stumble over its name, while also getting confused about the size of the stimulus package he oversaw.
"You may remember, when we went through this with the Great... with the uh, that, that, uh, uh, the single most significant recession in American history short of a depression, and Barack and I came into office and we were inherited the Bush recession, I was asked to manage the recovery act which was $80 billion. Eighty billion do... excuse me, $800 billion," Biden said.
"And the first thing I was able to do is get over a $140 billion to the states and localities so they didn't have to lay off transit workers, they didn't have to lay off firefighters, they didn't have to lay off police officer."

Biden was to “oversee every penny” of the “Stimulus,” remember.
He said so.

Mostly what I saw was a lot of heavy construction equipment owned by large construction companies sitting idle on the sides of roads. IOWs the construction companies were being paid rent on their otherwise idle equipment to decorate the landscape. I saw very little actual work get done.

Clearly he had some type of electronic aid at the debate.
The drug cocktail he was on at the debate, the stimulants and other enhancing substances, have finally worn off.

I remember the outrage in Michigan (and other states) that we spent lot of money on road signs which typically cost between $500 and $1,200 to design, make and install, read: “Putting America to Work” in black letters on an orange background, and “Project Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act” in white letters on a green background.
Money that could have filled potholes vs. signage.
What happens if Biden gets COVID? Does all of his BS arguments go out the window? Blame it on Trump?
There's a medical name for this. It's called 'aphasia'. It can even be a symptom of Alzheimer’s disease. If you listen to Biden's speeches, it happens quite regularly.
Must have serious side effects or they would have him on them all the time.
