Requiring masks should require following OSHA rules.
Right now, the OSHA regulations are being waived. But in normal times, any requirement for the use of PPE requires following a multitude of OSHA regulations. This includes : the company must provide the PPE, the company must dispose of the PPE in a regulated wastestream, the company must have an approved PPE plan on record with OSHA, among others.
Use smartphones, as deaf-mutes have done for years.
I was suppose to return to Lima, Peru in november. That’s not happening.
Despite what the media reports, despite what the democrats and Joe Biden say, it is Peru that has the most covid deaths (per capita - per 1 million population) in the world. The United States is number 10 (possibly number 13 - 15 or even a little lower down the list) if we actually had real numbers out of China, India, Russia and Venezuela (not to mention Cuba and North Korea and probably a few others.
Hopefully I will be able to go in February or March.
The airline has the right to set dress codes and minimum equipment requirements for passengers. If they want you to wear a parachute to fly with them, then you either wear the parachute or you don’t fly.

No. All they wanted of him was for him to don a mask. The face shield is no longer considered good enough.
The airlines will not come back unless they lighten up on the mask restrictions.

As I read it, a face shield alone is not considered sufficient, but the story doesn’t state explicitly whether a face mask alone is. It’s implied that a face mask alone is OK.

No, *you* don’t get it. Even if the FARs do *not* require parachutes, the airline can still require it as part of their terms of service. They can also require you to wear a Metallica shirt, parachute *pants* or a clown nose if they want.
I think that re-used, dirty cloth (or surgical style) masks have to be much worse for passengers than any virus particles.

No, parachutes cannot be demanded by airlines. If you knew what a FAR was you wouldn’t have made such a childish claim.
There have been airlines that require people to be *naked* to fly with them. The point is that airlines can demand you wear whatever they want for you to fly with them.
