There are times when, even if you’re in the right, you should just be quiet. The passenger who didn’t want a mask IN ADDITION TO the face shield he was wearing, was already in a bad mood. Then the other passenger puts his two cents in at just the wrong moment. Some folks don’t like being laughed at, especially not about another unclear Mask Law.
“The passenger who didnt want a mask IN ADDITION TO the face shield he was wearing”
I agree. Something interesting I did find about the marketing of those face shields. Where I work they are sold. The picture on the front of the box shows a man wearing just the face shield but the written instructions on the back state that a facemask still needs to be worn along with the face shield.
Small writing on back of box says you still need to wear a mask
I buy supplies and inventory for the company where I work in Texas. When people were first starting to return to work, I was asked to order face shields because the order fillers in the warehouse thought it was too hot to wear the masks all day. For a month or so, everybody was wearing face shields. Now, almost no one does (they are now wearing the blue surgical masks). I used to see face shields in grocery stores, but now I seldom see them. I think they have become like the masks that have air vents to allow your breath to escape without fogging up your glasses. It was decided from "on high" that those things do not offer enough protection so they have fallen into disfavor.
