Thru a tale of misunderstandings, Jae Seon, the boy Sol Ah loves, thinks that Sol Ah has abandoned a kitten and, abandoned often as a child, he pulls away from her. But when a new girlfriend returns the rescued cat 10 years later, Jae Seon reluctantly allows Sol Ah to keep it until he can find it a new home, allergies preventing him from keeping it himself. And that’s when the cat discovers that, when he’s with Sol Ah, he can become human. As misunderstandings resolve, a love triangle complicates the situation.

I've become so obsessed with Asian dramas that I stopped dead making music videos. Really hope that finishing this one means I can get back to work.

Meow, the Secret Boy, is essentially a 2020 Korean drama art film. I'm most reminded of Walter Farley's The Black Stallion. The cat is played by "L", a famous Korean boy-band star.

Must admit that my favorite scene is where the ex-boyfriend discovers that the girl sleeps with the cat (not knowing it’s not JUST a cat). He suggests this might be a good time to take the cat in for neutering. In the music video scene, the ex is in the red sweater, the cat in his normal white. Great expressions!

When we had Dish....I could get a Korean channel and loved the soaps. The one I watched had traditional family values.

I watched www.viki.com for free for a long time, then subscribed, then subscribed premium. The lack of commercials and the crowd sourcing translations are fantastic.

And I agree with the traditional family values. For both Chinese and Korean, I feel like I’m back in the US in the 1950’s. High moral standards and a desire to do the right thing. The one thing that drives me batty is that I’m used to rooting for the bad guy to get theirs. These shows are so righteous that they REFORM the bad guys rather than letting them get what’s coming to them.
