In a limo, not a hearse (we're pretty sure), people 55 or older can arrange a ride to vote on Election Day in cities from Nashville to Los Angeles.

People 55 or older in certain U.S. cities can fill out a form asking for a free ride to the polls on Election Day from a local funeral home.

The project is a partnership between the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association and the National Urban League and is operating in Baltimore, Detroit, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Participating funeral homes will be using their non-hearse fleet vehicles—often SUVs or luxury passenger vans—to transport riders to the polls, and they will be practicing safety measures to guard against coronavirus transmission.

Mail-in voting no longer a panacea for the left?

I could imagine the funeral director eying me surreptitiously, giving me a "professional look-over," as I step into the vehicle.

Do I have to sit through a sales pitch first, like a time share?

When I was first married, and we lived in San Diego and were broke 99.999% of the time, our one 'indulgence' was a trip to the Drive In. We saw this movie one evening - and there had to have been ten hearses parked in the lot as well. I'll never forget it. Good times!

This is a great idea. That way they can also fill out their final wishes when they get counted as dying of the fake China virus. Win Win all around.
