I just watched Zardoz again a few months ago. I enjoyed it a lot more as an adult. When I first saw it I was too young. All I cared about was the tits.
The movie is flawed, but the story really is great and I think he did a great job even in that one.
Just watched a mediocre effort of his last night. Outland a sci-fi version Of High Noon. Well not really. He played ONiel (sometimes ONeil) a Marshall on the mining colony on the moon Io. Forgettable.
You and I must be the only ones that feel that way.
Saw it over a decade ago as a lark. Was expecting to riff on it like MST3K, based on the scathing reviews and shots of 40yo Connery in the "red diaper".
I found it quite compelling, as an old-school sci-fi flick with actual questions about life, immortality, and the modern age.
