Is MeWe really any good? I had a hard time navigating that website many a moon ago.
Here’s how they describe Parler on Wikipedia. It’s laughable.
“Parler is a United States-based microblogging and social networking service launched in August 2018. Parler has a significant user base of Trump supporters, conservatives, and Saudi nationalists. Posts on the website often contain far-right content, and conspiracy theories.”
No leftist bias in that description, huh? Geezus!
I’m there, but honestly I wish when leaving for Parler more would also come to FR. It was my go-to as far back as the 90s, then I got busy and when I came back it was different.
Why “Parler” and not “Parlor?”

There are a lot of us that agree with you about the account rules and difficulty of using Parler. They have to up their game considerably and not just depend on being a Twitter alternative to grow.

I have a Parler acc, but haven’t used it yet. But I don’t post or use FB or Twitter much either.
I prefer Gab because with Parler you have to sign in every time, then do a captcha, then they send you a security code to enter. Every time.
Then it is not really needed. If that database ever gets hacked they will know where every member is in real time. Would a Harris/Pelosi administration do that? Bet on it.
A phone number has always been a deal breaker, too much risk. Even with Gmail it is still optional and not mandatory.

Just joined Parler. Just looking at it briefly, it looks more media whereas FB is more social.
Is there anywhere on Parler where FReepers can socialize?

One thing that isn’t like facebook that I don’t like with mewe is the business pages which they charge $1.99/mth for. They’re not public and can’t be seen by anyone who’s not logged in to mewe.
Dumped Facebook yesterday. Joined Parler and Clouthub. You should, too. They are much more honest and unbiased platforms.
I signed up for Parler in June.
Parler is a breath of fresh air. One can speak freely without the worry of being banned.
