Apparently AS66 hit and killed a bear on the runway during landing in Yakutat Saturday 14 NOV. Photo attached. Looks like N615AS.
Looks like flight 107 added a stop and picked up pax.
For those not famiilar with Yakutat, they get 2 flights a day, one north to Cordova and Anchorage and one south to Juneau and Seattle. This is often considered one of the ‘milk run’ flights.

Thankfully the bear was not a Russian Flying Bear, or the plane would have crashed.
Now we have start hearing the comparison between airplane and bear spray as the best way to defend yourself against bear attacks.
The family of the bear will sue Alaska Airlines for $1 trillion in salmon and berries. The pilot will be sued by the bear's family since he didn't stop for the bear.
